All portraits will be online at hilmerandhimson.com in our gallery section within 24 hours. We wanted to make sure that when you wake up the next day, you can instantly relive the story of your wedding through your images. No waiting months for edited photos.
We encourage guests to save their portraits and use and share them on any platform they wish. The file is a lo-res image and is not suitable for printing, but if your guests wish to purchase a hi-res print ready file, we can make that happen through email.
Your Visual Guestbook will take about 2-3 weeks for completion.
Unfortunately we aren’t set up to print on the spot. Our focus is on keeping everything to the highest quality as every single portrait we take gets edited before we post them. We are aware of similar companies who print strips of lo-res photos that guests usually just leave on their table, only to be thrown out with their plate of half eaten cake.
Definitely! We do this all through email. We don’t actually send them a printed copy but we email them a digital high resolution image that they can then take and get printed at any size. We sell digital files for $19.95/portrait and do all transactions using PayPal.
Alternatively, you have the option of purchasing a high resolution DVD with all the images from your wedding on it and can print portraits of your guests for them. Some have used it as Christmas presents, and some have printed one image of everyone and put them in their thank you cards.
Have a bad sun burn? Don’t worry, we edit every image. This is where the nerd side comes into play. I’ve developed an algorithm that speeds up the post processing which allows us to edit every photo and have them up the next day.
Ideally we would like to work in a 12 ft x 12 ft x 12 ft space, but I’m sure we can work with any space your event has.
The backdrop we use use is 107″ wide, but we also have it as a 53″ wide backdrop. If you have a small space and need to use the 53″ backdrop, it would just have less people in each photo but can still work.
We love the outdoors! Yes, we can definitely do it. When shooting outside, the only tricky part is we would have to be close enough to an electrical outlet and weather becomes something to keep on eye on. We would just need a bit more planning but it’s definitely do-able!
If you take a look at the wedding from Meg & Josh, we shot it outside at their family cottage and they talk about the experience in the Testimonials section.
We want to keep the backdrop consistent with our brand. So, at this time we don’t have changing it as an option.
Excuse me while I cringe for a minute……… Ok, done. You’re right, you didn’t see any of those. As I can see why you might compare us to the idea of a Photo Booth, we stay far far away from the cheese and keep it fun and classy. We will never go over the top with props. We want the focus to be people first, props second. Nothing gets us more confused as when we see people who dress up so nice for a wedding, only to cover their expensive custom suits and dresses with dollar store items.
Our props include: various mustaches, lips, bow-ties and a pipe all on sticks. It’s a way to keep things classy and fun at the same time. Check out our gallery page to see them in action.
Props can be added upon discretion of Hilmer and Himson. We want to keep things on a different level. If you want to add masks, boas, crazy glasses, then we probably aren’t the right choice for you. A few times the bride and groom have requested to add a prop that had a sentimental value to them and it was ok with us.
All we need is to be somewhat near an electrical outlet for our lights. Other than that we have everything covered.
A romantic set up meant to capture your guests authentically, candidly, and in a classy way.
